I am hoping that someone can suggest a place where I can donate my dog's wheel chair. Fritz was a large German Shepherd who was paralyzed from the waist down due to degenerative mylopathy. We had to say goodbye to Fritz yesterday, but he was brave and strong and we'd love to see the equipment that helped him so much help someone else.
It is a rear supporting chair in very good shape and comes with removable sling harness and some part replacements. We live in Massachusetts, so I assume finding a local family or organization would be our best bet.
We appreciate any suggestions.
Abandoned disabled dog needs a wheelchair
My sister is fostering a medium size dog that was hit by a car and now his back legs are paralyzed. She lives in Honduras and can not afford a wheelchair for this lovely dog. According to some witnesses, this awesome dog survives this accident even though it was 3 days on the road suffering from his injuries without help. My sister picked him up and collected some money from the neighbors to take him to a vet for treatment after the car accident. Unfortunately the dog can not walk and a wheelchair will be an option to give a better quality of life to this amazing dog.
If someone knows how I can get a wheelchair donation for this survivor, I will appreciate the information. Or if someone has a chair to donate to this dog it would be even better.
I'm sure that someone can give to this amazing dog the gift to walk again!!
German Shepherd Wheelchair
I am looking for a wheelchair to fit my German Shepherd. His back has been going out for about a year now. He has been able to stand up some but it is getting worse fast. I have been using a gait belt to get him from one place to another. Please let me know if anyone has one. Thanks for you help

wheelchair donation
New to the forum here - but wanted to comment on the wheelchair you are willing to donate (probably too late at this point I'm sure) You can post it for "free" on Handicappedpets.com. They have a classified section. Kathy Barton is a 4th grade teacher who raises money to purchases chairs for special needs animals. I'm sure a contribution to her would be so appreciated. The kids have a week long lesson on special needs animals - quite the lesson in compassion.
